A sensitive, intelligent, and somewhat eccentric man who never thought he would find love. He spent his childhood and early adulthood alone, obsessed with the old myths and legends of Ossyan and Dal-Rhiatah. He attended University at Lodston to study anthropology and other related subjects.
On the hunt for evidence of the elusive First Race (the beings who came before humans, and rumoured to be giants), Conan travelled to Cybrith Port, planning to travel the world and write a book about such beings. However, while at Cybrith he was visited a few times by a succubus, a type of Ghost that sires children using sleeping, male human bodies, and the succubus deposited the resultant offspring (Cailte) on his doorstep one morning before abandoning them both forever.
Since that turbulent time, the Professor lost interest in moving from the place associated with the beautiful Ghost in his memory, and he remained in Cybrith for the next five years, single-handedly raising his unusual and frighteningly gifted child, who also became a selective mute.
Then, the New Religion came to Cybrith, a religion with a malevolent Ghost masquerading as a god, and Conan found himself separated from Cailte and delivered to a sea-cave with a group of other locals, doomed to be a sacrifice. The only person who could save him would be the Nighthunter…

The playlist of songs which inspired The Nighthunter, Book One is now compiled, the link of which has been sent out in advance to e-mail subscribers! Not all the songs that inspired the book could make it onto the playlist, otherwise it would have been about eight hours long.

I’m excited to say a publisher recently asked to see the full manuscript of Book One, which means it’s capable of getting past the querying stage, at least!
