I am still alive… I think.

I am recovering — slowly — from abdominal surgery, which happened at the end of December. Having a connective tissue disorder, this caused problems with having retention and needing to be catheterised, but as I am resistant to local anaesthetics it took them over an hour to get it in and I was screaming. Pretty brutal.

In other news, the review for “Dracula’s Guests” published by HellBound Books can be found here:

And the review I scrawled for Quill & Crow Publishing’s “Bleak Midwinter” volume one can be found here:

“How is the writing going?” people ask me. It is still happening, albeit at a slower pace than usual (I am taking a lot of impromptu naps and there are physiotherapy exercises as well. Oh, how I love physiotherapy, he says with deep DEEP sarcasm). I am still working on Codex Corvidae. I intended it to be a collection of short stories up to 50,000 words but at this rate, it’s going to be longer with a few novellas included, unless I can wittle it down some more.

Aside from that, there is nothing else to report. I wish you all a (belated) Happy New Year!
