Book Update

Since being published as an ebook on Amazon, “A Dark Heritage: The Nighthunter” briefly shot down to 8000 in the listings for Dark fantasy books, but in the space of a couple of days, it’s shot up to 1000. I’m choosing to think of this as a positive sign.

On other writing-related topics, I’m currently scribbling a book of short stories that examine the life of The Crow King, a legendary figure mentioned in “A Dark Heritage…” who, in Ossyan, has a large collection of tales and myths about him. I plan to make the short story collection free to those who download “A Dark Heritage: The Nighthunter” and leave a review for it.

The latest pages from the Book of Nighthunting (which has its own page on the Nightwalks site now):

SNARFS: these are brilliant white lights that float over empty hills in daylight. Their voices are like faint children’s laughter, but don’t be fooled…
…because during the dark hours, they reveal their true forms (which have never been seen by anyone who is still alive). They lure travellers to their deaths.

As well as reading out short excerpts from “A Dark Heritage…” on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, et al., I’ve begun finding ways to make my character illustrations move. Check out what I did with the FaceDance app:

In conclusion, buy my book (which is available now) and leave a review for it, and I shall send you a download code to the short story collection once it’s completed. Until next time, stay cool and stay safe!
